New cooling technology for the Finnish cooperative Arina stores revolutionizes the entire building's energy management. Refrigeration with carbon dioxide as a refrigerant halves the total energy consumption. They have tested the technology over a year in 1000 m2 large grocery stores.The cooperative Arina in Finland has been involved in funded research and development and Jetitek OY realize the technology. It is global pioneering work, combining refrigeration and building service techniques with a unique efficiency.

Two Crystal DX DO systems have been delivered and installed at WiLLY:s supermarket in Piteå Sweden in December 2009 and have been in use since then with good operational economy. We had a chat with Morgan Magnusson, Lead Technician Refrigeration & Energy, Willys Sweden to have his view on the results so far.
