Two entrepreneurs with long experience in the cooling industry realized some years ago that green refrigeration was to come in the near future. So in 2002 they started developing a transcritical refrigeration system with CO2 as refrigerant. The first installation of a CO2 system in a grocery store took place in 2003. In 2007, after some further development, the decision was made to commercialise the technology under the trademark Green & Cool.
There is a growing interest in green refrigeration and our state-of-the-art systems are in demand all over the world. We offer refrigeration and freezer systems, air conditioning, and heat pumps, all with CO2. Most of our end-customers come from large grocery chains in Europe but they can also be found in the food industry and the medical industry. At present, we have CO2 installations in the Nordic countries, France, Poland, UK, Netherlands, Turkey, and Switzerland.
Today, with more than 170 installations around Europe, Green & Cool is in the forefront when it comes to refrigeration units with CO2. |
