WSC Metall has developed a range of copper pipe and couplings for installing refrigeration units that use carbon dioxide as a refrigerant. The pipe and couplings are made from K65 copper alloy, which contains a small percentage of iron. The alloy can withstand pressures of up to 120 bar and the pipe and couplings have TÜV approval. K65 pipe and couplings do not require any special welder qualification and are less expensive than stainless pipe and couplings. The introduction of K65 simplifies installation and reduces costs for Green & Cool’s dealers.
