Green & Cool’s British partner, Carter Synergy, has won the award for Best Retail Project at the National ACR Awards 2015.
At the heart of the awarded project is a fully integrated refrigeration, air conditioning and heating unit from Green & Cool, utilising environmentally friendly CO2 as the refrigerant in a booster-type system. The scheme uses waste heat generated by the refrigeration process for space heating. This heat is typically lost to the atmosphere in other systems. The ultimate outcome is the removal of heat pump systems for store heating and subsequently a dramatic reduction in energy use for the store as a whole.
“This was an impressive entry overall. It was a unique and environmentally prestigious project and it would have taken a hell of a project to beat it,” the ACR Award judges commented.
Carter Synergy is a British nationwide provider of refrigeration, mechanical, electrical and other core building services.
“The ACR Award for Best Retail Project to our project in St. Ives is well in line with our focus on innovation and on environmental concerns and also a good proof of the excellent performance that the Green & Cool units deliver,” says Paul Bevington, Business Development Manager at Carter Synergy.
